Control Remoto is a video performance that plays with the idea of freeing oneself from restraints by cutting loose while in confinement. Quarantine, made up of repetitiveness and monotony, is juxtaposed by the desire for escapism, such as playing dress-up and dancing wildly. The inclusion of Afro-cuban rhythms with different threads of disco––which echo queer nightlife––amplify the isolation and sterility of the white room.
