Against the Sky
Against the Sky is an abstract dance performance inspired by the intersection between the sea and sky. It uses a simple geometry, manipulated, varied and logged into the dancers’ bodies as the unifying vocabulary for set choreography. Its simplicity leads the way to numerous movement possibilities. The music for the piece is taken from the album The Pearl composed by Brian Eno and Harold Budd.
*The piece is made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs , the Cultural Affairs Council, the Mayor, and the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners.
